About the Workshop

The formulation of a hypothesis in research occurs when the researcher constructs a statement predicting what will occur while testing the research question, based on background research. Typically, a hypothesis proposes a link between two variables: the independent variable (what researchers modify) and the dependent variable (what the research measures). While developing a research hypothesis, researchers must be cautious and meticulous. A minor error in the formulation of the hypothesis might adversely affect the investigation. The objective of the workshop is to give attendees sufficient understanding on hypothesis formulation and testing.
